It has always been a section on CricketSoda, and now it will be its own complete humor site with the greatest humor, satire, and other junk we have ever produced before ever. It is going to be fantastic. I am writing a tutorial/walkthrough as I build the site and publishing it on Top Blogger to help all those who are interested in created their own site. So, this is close to what I am going to use as far as layout and design. I really like posting classified ads in the local newspaper. I have always had good luck whether I am selling my crafts or getting rid of the family dog, the classifieds have always made it easy. Even starting a computer service business was easy, and the $100 investment made it’s money back the very first month.
But when you really analyze what you are paying for, the few lines of text are kind of a rip off. I mean, I think it should be free, and why not? Let the big corporations front the bill by spending their billions on advertising, and let the little guy get the word out on whatever it is he/she is trying to do.
So I present to the world, and new CricketSoda project in progress. The CricketSoda Classifieds, found at http://www.cricketsoda.com/classifieds are free to use, and allow you to post as much information as you need to really strum up interest in you ad.
Check it out, and watch it grow. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, and I will do my best to appease. Do note that all the categories have not be added yet, and I am working as fast as I can type to get them all up.
Plus, since I don’t have the resources to build a complete CricketSoda store, this is the next best thing. (hint hint, check out the classifieds for cool CricketSoda swag from time to time).
So after many night sitting around with friends letting a thousand t-shirt and stupid inventions pass us by I am getting off my ass and doing something about it. I am building a CricketSoda store as we speak that will offer many things from cheap computers to t-shirts of many types. So I have a habit of buying four letter domain names. In the past they have been very lucky when it comes to reselling them, and while I don’t think all four letter domains names are easy to remember or type for the matter, I figure as soon as one comes available, if I can get it, I should. It is hard to come by an available four letter domain name, so I figure they must be worth something. I bought this one domain name 0sys.com and since I can’t really do anything with it yet I figured I would use it! (more…)
Most of the time chat rooms on the internet are lame. No one chatting has a life, or anything to talk about for that matter. But, we have been knocking around a few ideas that involve live chats with people you might really want to talk to. For example, if you wanted to chat with Mark Garrison, the famous satire artist, then you could show up at this certain time and our community would be one in a great light of new hope.

One of the biggest challenges as a online publisher is finding ways to earn money through different forms of advertising without making your site less useful because it is hard to access the content. CricketSoda has always held a lot of restraint on the type of ads we serve. We don’t use pop ups, or flashy ads that bug people or freeze computers. Today, I decided to try a new form of advertising in hopes of generating a little extra revenue for our upcoming projects, and keeping the amount of ads on the site low. (more…)
So my best friend in the whole world had another one of his badass ideas the other night while we were sitting around playing Uno. So badass in fact that when he was done talking everyone in the room kind of smiled, looked at each other, and agreed that the idea was in fact the best one to date, except for a few forgotten ideas that would have already solved all of our problems. Sorry for the downtime the past few days. We have been having some problems with spam, and when the bots all attack at once, it puts a lot of strain on our servers. Have no fear, we are back in business, and working hard to make sure nothing like that happens ever again.
Of course, I have said something like that before, and we just don’t live in a world like that. Shit hits the fan often, and we will just have to deal with it. This time though, we are bringing shovels.
