Austin City Limits announced the 2008 lineup last night for their slightly more expensive ($170 for a three day pass) and still in the heat of September music festival. Sometimes when something is done in an epic style, and done correctly, you end up with a truly amazing piece of cinema. Talk about epic, according to Wikipedia it took almost four years to complete Fully Fared, a skateboarding movie from Lakia Footwear, because of new additions to the team. To start the movie they picked a band known for their epic ballads, M83. Plus, they use plenty of slow mo and explosions for the added touch. Read more >>
Every now and then I pull a CD from behind my drivers seat and pop it in. A band called Iron Horse starts to play blue grass covers of Modest Mouse and I sing along to every word, hoping someone in the car hasn’t heard Modest Mouse before. It has been a long freaking time since the last Atmosphere album. I can’t even count how many times I have said I wish a new Atmosphere album would come out.
