It’s A Canadian Game or Is It?

Well, it used to be a Canadian game, but is it still? There was a time when the word hockey was synonymous with Canada, but with this past season of no hockey and now the summer is here and thoughts are leaning more toward baseball and vacations, hockey is now at the back of everyone’s mind. Also now, it is seemingly primarily a game of the US. Canada has 5 NHL hockey teams, how many does the US have? I have lost count. (more…)

Nothing Good Can Come From This

Diabetes Sucks

It sucks the life out of anything it touches

Most people have heard something about diabetes. It is a popular topic since it affects over 18.2 million Americans. Even so, most people don’t know the real truth about diabetes, and impact it has on people’s lives. Not only does it change a person’s life when they get diabetes, but it causes everyone connected to that person, to worry and stress out. (more…)

RIP Bobby the Bunny

Thursday, June 16th, 2005

We have a bunny that runs around our house. The only problem with this bunny is that it poops and chews wires. The poop isn’t so bad because it is little pellets, but still, I have to deal with poop. If there is one thing I always told myself it was that I should take shit from nobody, and now look at me, following a rabbit taking as many pellets as that rabbit can muster. (more…)

Dancing Never Felt So Good

I don’t know how to dance very well. For a long time I thought that I was okay, but really I was just lucky enough to be surrounded by girls who all thought I was cute and just wanted to shake their asses next to me. I can’t afford lessons or anything, so I am just going to rely on the power of the internet!

A look into the Term “third world”

I haven’t written much in the past 5 days because I’ve been a little depressed. Ok, I’ve been a LOT depressed. What happened is that I have a book coming out, something for which I should leap for joy, but am not. The reason I am not is that I am catching all sorts of hell from newsgroup people over its title: (more…)

How My Bank Won

Friday, June 10th, 2005

I am beginning to really hate the way banks are set up. Banks have to make money to survive, and so the original system set up was that banks would give out loans with the money that people deposit. They would charge interest and make money on the loan repayments. In our modern economy, banks have to compete for loans, lowering interest rates and not making as much money. To make up for this they pass the cost on to me, the poor college student doing my best to survive. (more…)

New College Class Offered Gives Students What They Want

Beer, Bitches, And Sex is Already Causing a Stir

(satire disclaimer) The local college is now offering a new class in hopes that they will attract new students to the program. Recent complaints about the current curriculum and its importance to the lives of students have caused administrators to rethink their current catalog of classes. Hopefuls for the new class think it will change the school forever, and provide a new age of learning. (more…)

Stoners Agree; Music Really Sucks Right Now

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

Nothing Good is Coming Out

(satire disclaimer)Late last night after most of the town had turned out their lights two stoned college students sat in their room discussing music over a bowl. They both agreed that the current state of music is pathetic, and the music just really sucks right now. (more…)

The Denton Summer

Friday, June 3rd, 2005

Hot, Empty, and Beautiful

It is strange living in a city that dies in the summer. All the college kids head back to their homes for the summer, to recoup and recover from the semester of drooling never ending school work. The streets become empty, and driving become easier. You don’t see as many people walking the streets and the parties start getting smaller and smaller each weekend that comes. (more…)
