Atmosphere Leaks Single for New Album

by: Levi Blackman

Cover of Atmospheres New AlbumIt has been a long freaking time since the last Atmosphere album. I can’t even count how many times I have said I wish a new Atmosphere album would come out. I have listen to their old stuff so much I can’t stand it anymore and I yearn for the joy and goosebumps from hearing words slung together in ways I never knew possible.

And on March 7th Atmoshpere finally leaked a new track (and its not another crappy remix) in anticipation for the NEW ALBUM, “When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold“, coming out April 22nd, 2008

I remember listening to their single “Sound is Vibration,” stoned in my truck with my best friend and thinking to myself that this is the best shit I have ever heard. The way they combined both of their voices into a hip hop musical masterpiece, and collage of sound mixed with saying really cool things. And now, holy shit, I feel like a kid again.

The new track entitled “Shoulda Known,” features singers Slug and Ant in a more sloppy and funky beat, and it isn’t bad, which is amazing in the current hip hop environment.

Make your own judgments and give a listen.
