Starting April 20th and running through till May 25th The Modern will be hosting exhibits by Kenhinde Wiley. Wiley is know for painting larger than life portraits that are done in classical western European style, but instead of valiant white dudes riding stallions, it is people from contemporary urban settings. They are featured riding great white horses into battle while classical patterns decorate the background.
His paintings are framed in great golden frames and resemble many familiar paintings from the past.
Tickets to get in are $10, but if that is too rich for your blood, The Museum is free on the first Sunday of every month and every Wednesday. So, I hope to see you there!
