Movie Marathon Causes Epidemic of Sleep

by: Levi Blackman

According to witnesses at the scene, after a long marathon of movies, many of the participants fell asleep.

“We decided it might be fun to watch a bunch of cool movies, so we went a rented four. We knew it would take a long time to watch them when we rented them.” Local computer nerd Edmund Geriiff said. “Our selection was kinda funny. All the movies ended up being about doing lots of drugs. After the third movie, we threw in “If Lucy Feel.” The movie was good, but it was a chick flick. The pace was slow and the eyelids of my friends started to fall. Before the movie was over everyone was passed out on my bed and the couch. It was cool though, I like having my house like a hippy colony.”

CricketSoda experts predict that the sleep will wear off, but the effects may last up to 48 hours.

“It might cause some problems when they try to go to sleep the next night, but other than that, I see no problem.” Doctor Greg the Smart Kid from UIL said. “The sleep might even be good for them.”

Records show that this happens quite often, and is expected at least once a week.
