We didn’t have any milk, and so we thought that we couldn’t make pancakes. Vicky is a smart one though, and she decided that it would be okay to use half and half because it is mostly milk. It was a good idea, and soon we had pancakes.

Vicky likes to cook everything on the highest heat possible. “It’s faster,” she says, but in real life we all know that black food just doesn’t taste very good. That’s okay, I went behind her back and turned down the stove. Soon we had tasty pancakes and life was sweet.

I wonder how much I have changed since my last love affair with pancakes. Do I still enjoy and see the same things I used to with pancakes. In the other pancake column I wrote, did I mention how great syrup is, and the way you can melt a boat load of butter on top to create a monster of a food?

I don’t remember, but I know how I feel now. Pancakes are it. I love the way they fluff in my mouth. I like the shape and how it fits easy on a plate. It won’t fall over like a lot of foods can. They are easy to eat and cut, and ever bite, down to the last soggy dripping syrup slimy piece slides down my throat. There just aren’t many bad things you can say about pancakes.

Of course, being a diabetic, pancakes can be killer. Fuck diabetes, stop the suffering, find a cure!
