first, a big thanks to everyone who came out to the mega-Sol Kitchen jam Saturday nite at TJ’s (3 guitars, 3 saxes, 2 drummers, cooper, bookman, and gaah(n)). it was one of those shows that the kids who weren’t at moon’s will be talking about for days. plus, it was sol kitchen’s last TJ’s show ever. also, i am hearing that taku is gonna be full-time now (matt, phelker, and taku–holy christ, that’s funky), we’ll see ya on 5/30.
second, fatty P. rocking the patio (weather permitting–if it rains, look inside) on wednesday nite is a must-see (featuring a tribute to my dad). hope to see you there.
and third, congrats with boxcar for the final time at tj’s on friday nite. after being pre-empted by a shitty, uninvited metal band two weeks ago, grady and i finally get to share a stage again one year after bagg’s final show. bluegrass and whatever the hell congratulations is. get there early, stay late, drink a lot. hope to see you there.

Fatty P was amazing as always. I can’t wait until they hit J&J Basement. I missed the new song though because we went over to some hookah place.
