So for a long time I avoided writing about Wordpress even though I was using it so much because billions of other people were writing about the same thing. Recently though I have realized that most people want to use Wordpress for its most basic purpose, which is to blog, and hopefully by blogging on an actual domain name they will gain some credibility.

Wordpress can do much more than that though. Say you wanted to write a book? Why not write the book and then post it via Wordpress, release one chapter a week to keep the audience coming back. After a few books you could start charging a fee to view the book, and perhaps make more than you would publishing the traditional way.

Or perhaps you have always dreamed of starting a fashion magazine but you can only dream about having the start up capital for such a risky business. Why not pay $4.00 for some hosting and use Wordpress. It is easy to customize and with enough work you can make it look just like any other the top magazine’s sites. And once you have an audience willing to pay for your printed edition you won’t need all that capital, and it won’t be such a risky business.

Of course, not everyone is capable of creating a good looking website, so I decided to create some Wordpress themes you can download for free, and perhaps a few (the really complex commercial themes) you can download for a small fee.

Also, I figure I could walk people through the basic processes, and get a few clients who are impressed by my know how. I might post a video here and there, but I am going to try and keep things simple, and make this who thing as easy as possible. By the end of it all you will run into many problems, and not understanding the world’s best and easiest to use publishing platforms should not be one of them.
