SoulCast By: Levi Blackman Now that we are all too old for the blog type of thing, and many of us have moved on to other forms of public display. This summer, the popular thing to do is drink to much, making your voice loud enough for the whole bar to hear. At least everyone will be talking about you and what you did the other day. I just want all of you to know that it really brings a lot of strange emotion and feeling about life to someone in a fresh breakup when you shout about your hard day followed by the exclamation that you really want someone to lick your asshole. (followed by the cheers of several toothless drunk rednecks looking at that whole lota woman wondering how many bottles of tequila it will take to bring the beast down.) So drinking and yelling is more fun than writing in a blog. I have to agree. Writing in a blog makes you kinda a loser, slightly emo, and with nothing better to do, bored and boring. Yelling in a bar makes you drunk friends, and buying shots can get you a few girlfriends. But I found a website the other day, and it is a blog site. A cool one though, something I liked enough I had to say something.
They allow you to sign up for Google Adsense, and put your ad code on your blog. That means that you make all the money from the blogs you post. The site turns the whole posting thing into a competition for money. Like the open marketplace, bloggers strive to come up with topics that will spark interest and bring visits to their blogs. If you can spark a debate, your blog could be featured on the homepage, bringing even more people to your articles. It is a community and your goal is to get as many friends as possible. You post comments on other blogs and they return the favor. You subscribe to their writing and in return, you gain more subscriptions. It is a popularity contest, and the more friends you make, the more the website will showcase your work. Its takes a few easy steps, 1) Sign up for a Soul Cast blog at http://www.soulcast.com/ Let me know what you think! Update : I also found out that Blogger lets you ad your Adsense ad to your blog. In my opinion, they don't offer as much promotion of your posts, but if you prefer to use them, or already use them and would rather not having to move all your posts, you can still earn some dirty Google money.
