Why Must You Take Away My Chinese
China One Wok, I love you

By: Levi Blackman

Sometimes the world is a horrible place where things seem to happen just to make sure I am as miserable as possible. Not to long ago, my favorite Chinese place packed up and went out of business because their lease was up.

Hello? Why didn’t the landlord just let them live there in exchange for Chinese food. I would have done it, because it tastes oh so good. What’s done is done, and I can only dream about them one day coming back. In an attempt to make up for the lack of Chinese in my life I walked across town to the Oriental Express, but it just wasn’t the same.

The upper scale Chinese place across the street is more lower class than anything else, they just charge more.

I guess life will never be like it used to be.

In honor of what once was, I am going to build a large monument of fried rice and other fried vegetables that will raise high into the sky, touching the clouds. People will come from all over to see the great monument, and they will get tickets from the visitor kiosk to take a large bite, and taste the monumental Chinese masterpiece.

A great city will form around it and people will realize just how great that place was. They will demand a forced reinstatement of the restaurant. The masses will go and find the former employees and the owner, and force them into slavery. They will cook day in and day out until I have all the orange chicken, broccoli beef, Moo Goo Guy Pan and shrimp friend rice I can handle.

As a start, because I can’t really afford to build such a great monument just yet, we have made a memorial video as a tribute.
